Mikhail Nikanorov
Russian baritone Mikhail Nikanorov was born in Saint-Petersburg in 1974.
He graduated from Saint-Petersburg Glinka choir college in 1992.
After Mikhail Nikanorov graduated from Saint-Petersburg Rimskij-Korsakov conservatoire as a soloist in 1998.
His teacher was professor Mr. Lebed, who is a soloist in Mariinskij theatre now.
From 1998 till 2001 he was working on probation in Mariinskij theatre young artists Academy.
Mikhail took part in the recording of "Semjon Kotko" opera by Prokofiev and perfomed in the following operas: “ Il Barbiere di Siviglia” by Rossini, "Semjon Kotko" by Prokofiev, “Madama Batterfly” by Puccini, “Carmen” by Bizet, “Snegurochka” by Rimsky-Korsakov,
“War and Peace” by Prokofiev, “La sonnambula” by Bellini.
From 2001 till 2003 he was working in Saint-Petersburg opera theatre "Zazerkalje" and took part in the following stage performances: “La boheme” by Puccini, “Die Fliedermaus” by Strauss, “Rigoletto” and “La Traviata” by Verdi, “Le nozze di Figaro”,”Don Giovanni” and “Die Zauberflote” by Mozart, “Evgeny Onegin” by Tchaikovsky, “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” by Offenbach.
Now Mikhail Nikanorov works as a soloist in Moscow opera theatre "Helikon-opera".
He took part in the following performances: “Rita” by Donizetti, “Le nozze di Figaro” by Mozart, “Boris Godunov” by Musorgsky, “Katerina Izmailova” by Shostakovich, “Carmen” by Bizet, “Aida” and “Falstaff” by Verdi, “ Il Barbiere di Siviglia” by Rossini, “Rasputin” by Riz, “Coffee Cantata” and “Country cantata” by Bach, “Les dialogues des carmelites” by Poulenc, “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” by Offenbach. As well he took part in the recording of "Boris Godunov" In 1998 in Finland he perfomed in “L’elisir d’amore” by Donizetti.
In 2002 in Germany he took part in “Iphigenia in Taurus” by Gluck.
In 2008 in Kislovodsk (Russia) he performed in “Iolanta” by Tchaikovskij.
More than that in 1997 Mikhail Nikanorov became a third prize-winner on the first international opera singers Dyaghilev competition in Perm (Russia).
He worked with the conductors: Gergiev, Nozeda, Ponkin,Titov, Gruzin, Poljanichko,
Chudovskij, Kirpanjov, Gasin, Brazhnik, Stadler, Stravinskij, Bubelnikov.
